Here is a list of things online that I find interesting, am particularly affected by, or otherwise want to share. The blurbs I write next to each work are mostly to explain why I’m interested in them rather than to necessarily describe the works themselves.
ally by Madison Scott-Clary, a fictionalized memoir that, in Scott-Clary’s words, takes the form of “a conversation between myself and my ally, a mirror reflection of myself.” Being hypertextual, the memoir lets the reader choose what order to read about various topics. I feel that the deepness of Scott-Clary’s self-examination may help me learn more about myself and learn from Scott-Clary’s experience, and I’m particularly fond of the theme of taking ownership of oneself.
According to a review, the memoir’s topics include “mental health, sexual and asexual identity (there’s some excellent writing about aceness in here!), what it means to have a self, how abuse and trauma affect those things, and, excitingly for at least me, how being a hopelessly nerdy furry specifically inflects all of that in really interesting directions.” There are also some themes related to being plural, but I'm not sure if Scott-Clary uses that term to describe herself.
Note that parts of the memoir discuss many potentially distressing topics such as self-harm, but the pages about those topics generally include content warnings about them.
